Welcome to CORA’S!
We are an intergenerational center providing Adult Day Care and Adult Day Health for adults 18 years and older by providing a home like environment in partnership with our 5-star friends at Marizetta Kerry Child Development Center in the historic West End of Charlotte, NC. As one of three intergenerational centers in NC, CORA’S will provide interaction between children in the child development center and the “neighbors” (as the participants of CORA’S are called). Intergenerational programming has been shown to provide benefits for both adults
and children. Adults feel valued, as they can share their knowledge and experience with young people. And children learn empathy when they can visit and interact with elders.
CORA’S is open Monday-Friday 7 am until 6 pm. We provide a home like environment for adults age 18 and older who need a safe and welcoming place to go each day. Two snacks and a healthy lunch are provided daily.
CORA’S is certified by NC Department of Health and Human Services Division on Aging and Adult Services.

CORA’S Intergenerational Center is now a Medicaid CAP/DA and HCC Block Grant Provider! If you are eligible, you can attend CORA’S Intergenerational adult day and adult day health care center at NO COST! The Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults (CAP/DA) is for adults with health limitations who prefer to remain in their primary private residences rather than nursing home placement and need socialization opportunities. This includes attending an adult day health center for socialization or safety during the day. The Home and Community Care Black Grant (HCC Block Grant) provides funding for adults to attend an organized program of services during the day in a community group setting for supporting older adults’ personal independence, and promoting social, physical, and emotional well being.
